Jordan IoT & AI Challenge is a capacity-building and pre-incubation program for Senior University Students and startups with innovative ideas in the areas of Internet of Things (IoT) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related fields to enable and leverage a smart future.
The Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence is the next evolution that will dramatically change the existing industries.
To stimulate and help build the ecosystem supporting a Jordanian innovation-based economy through strategizing, facilitating, and promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and the creation of intellectual property in The Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and their applications.
Jordan Industry4.0 & Digitalization Center (InJo4.0) is first of kind excellence center, co-funded by the European Union, aiming for increasing the readiness of Jordan’s industries and youth through a big variety of activities and grants to adapt for Industry4.0.
InJo4.0 will be hosting the Jordan IoT and AI challenge capacity building activities through InJo4.0 Learning management system “LMS” offering variety of different courses under the pillars of 4rth industrial revolution and business-oriented topics, furthermore InJo4.0 will be awarding the prizes for the competition’s winners.
The challenge is co-organized by several national and international partners like the “Jordan Industry 4.0 & Digitilzation Innovation Center (InJo 4.0)”, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and different J universities, corporates, and governmental entities in Jordan. The program unites the resources and experiences of the organizers and their respective partners to avail all the required materials, mentors, and expertise to the participating projects.
The challenge is not just a competition; it’s a digital transformation movement. That’s why it delivers training and workshops to the participants and provides them with all the needed support. After the training, participants compete in local finals. Winners from each country get qualified to the regional finals to compete for the Arab title, which is held on GITEX in Dubai 2021.

The main goal of Jordan IoT&AI Challenge is to create a great pool of talents and technical skills to leverage Jordan’s digital economic growth; that’s why we try to engage the whole ecosystem in the program. This year’s edition has two (2) tracks; each track has its own timeline and criteria.
